Age Limit for DPIIT Recruitment 2023

The DPIIT Recruitment 2023 Official Notification specifies the age limit for the Research Officer post as not exceeding 56 years on the closing date of application receipt.

Eligibility in DPIIT Recruitment 2023

To be eligible for the Research Officer post, candidates must meet the following criteria:

a) Officials of the Central Government, State Government, Union Territory Administration, Autonomous Organizations, Statutory Organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, Universities, or Recognized Research or Educational Institutions holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department.

OR

b) Officers under Central/State Government Department/Union Territory:

  • Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
  • With 02 years of service rendered post-appointment to the post on a regular basis in the Posts Pay Matrix Level-9 (Rs. 53,100-167,800) or Pay Matrix Level 08 (Rs. 47,600-151,100) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department.

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Economics or Applied Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics from any accredited University or Institute; OR
  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Statistics with a minimum of 01 paper in Economics from any duly recognized University or Institute.

Experience:

  • 03 years’ experience in the field of research, investigation, collection, compilation, interpretation, and analysis of statistical data.

Selection Procedure under DPIIT Recruitment 2023

Selection for the Research Officer post will be carried out through Personal Interaction. Shortlisting of candidates will be done by deputation, and only shortlisted candidates will be called for the personal interaction. The appointment for the Research Officer post will be made on a Deputation (Including Short-Term Contractual) Basis.

Deputation Period: The period of deputation, including the Deputation (Including Short-Term Contractual) Basis, shall not exceed 03 years, including any previous deputation period in another Ex-Cadre Post held in the same or another Organization/Department of the Central Government.

Note: Only Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Officers will be considered for absorption.
