Job Opportunity for Purchase Manager at Accor: Accor, a renowned hospitality company, is currently seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to join their team at the Hyderabad location. This role involves supervising and ensuring the quality of supplier relations, efficient stock management, and adherence to brand and Corporate Purchasing directives.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

  • Direct and implement company policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective work of the Purchase department.
  • Allocate suppliers based on vendor capacity, location, and company requirements.
  • Centralize the needs of all hotel departments and ensure timely supply.
  • Receive and compare proposals from various vendors and seek management approvals.
  • Prioritize purchases based on resources and urgency, ensuring deliveries align with orders and follow storage guidelines.
  • Manage supplier relations and monitor stock levels.
  • Ensure optimal arrangement of goods under their responsibility.
  • Evaluate user needs and functionality of purchased materials.
  • Ensure compliance with Licensing laws.
  • Plan, direct, and control all day-to-day Purchasing functions.
  • Survey the market for new products and suppliers.
  • Coordinate all functions of the team within the department and hotel.
  • Manage inventories and end-of-month closings in compliance with administrative and accounting procedures.
  • Maintain inventory records of all purchases made.
  • Identify cost-effective use of resources and educate the team on the same.
  • Help improve merchandise ratios and apply procedures regarding purchase orders, delivery slips, and invoicing.
  • Manage purchasing, receiving, storage, and inventory control aspects.
  • Minimize hotel expenses through effective purchasing and competitive negotiation.
  • Handle import of equipment and materials from inquiry to actual purchase.
  • Investigate and follow up on complaints from receiving, stores, and user departments.
  • Enforce internal control policies and procedures for purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and issuing.
  • Ensure workplace cleanliness and safety of consumable goods.
  • Adhere to the hotel’s Planet 21 Commitments for sustainability.
